Michelle Williams has caught my eye recently, I only really know her as girl from dawsons creek, never seen brokeback (yeh I know!) But really been admiring her threads, especially her coats and she makes me want to wear my wayfarers forever, even in winter. Little Matilda's not doing bad either!

The Topshop Clog has landed
Finally here is the topshop clog (what took them so long?). Hmmm, it doesn't have the clunky-ness I would have dreamed of, but I guess more practical. Also not crazy about the buckle/strap. It must be viewed in real life asap! I am also concerned as everyone is reporting clogs are hard to wear due to lack of ankle support. I find it hard to walk in heels at the best of times, so this does concern me slightly. But they're just so great!

Audrey
My mum bought me the book What Would Audrey Do for christmas and I finally just got around to reading it. I have to say although I have always thought of her as beautiful, that is pretty much where my interest ends. She's pretty amazing; she has lived a crazy life and suffered through a world war. She just seems to come across as an all round very grounded woman who takes life and its hardships for what they are. As for her style she was absolutely a trendsetter and way before her time. The book openly slags off Paris Hilton as an example of everything Audrey wasn't, which made me laugh because I think Paris likes to think of herself as quite sophisticated these days...idiot! Although I think you would have to live in some fantasy-lala land to live today the way Audrey did, I am sure we can all learn a little from her ladylike ways.

Melbourne Fashion Week
So I only made it to a little of Melbourne fashion week due to manic work schedule to save for my upcoming travels. I did though get to see a blog forum in the guildford lane gallery, with some of Melbournes biggest bloggers: patsy fox, lady melbourne, love bento and melbourne street fashion. It was really informative and entertaining.
I also made it down to fed square today for the target rocks fashion show and to do some serious Whitney Port stalking! The show was a bit tacky but it is target after all so not too much was expected really...
There was also a Grazia mag for target showcase thing, they actually did a good job, some of the target clothes weren't even half bad.
I also decided to take some photos of some well dressed girlies that attended. It was a sea of floral dresses, high waisted jean shorts, satchels, studded shoes, gladiator sandels and pixie boots, very melbourne!

Elly, I loved her bag, it was a vintage satchel with a studded belt attached, genius!
Jazz and Steph, love the dip dyed hair and clogs ;)
Joey, sorry I cut your head off, bad composition! Gorgeous though :)

Doctor Doctor i'm not feeling myself lately...
I know I am 2 years too late and audibly scoffed at this trend before but people can change, right? After seeing a few hotties wearing these with pretty dresses I was never quite the same again, I couldn't shake my interest. I tried to fight it, for some time until yesterday morning I left my house and on my doorstep there were a pair a perfectly worn in Dr.Martens, I thought it was a gift from god then realised they belonged to my housemates lady friend. I have to admit, I considered taking them and even checked for the size, like who leaves there shoes outside overnight anyways? After seeing sense I decided this was a sign enough for me. I have such regrets about throwing out old pairs now, I had 3 pairs, black, ox blood and even mary janes, plus fake taller ones that were amazing! I really don't want to pay extortionate prices when I know this love is a flash in the pan, so the hunt begins!

Whats up Tokyo??
I am going to tokyo in may and I am so very excited. It's been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I am going for 6 days, can't wait to check out the fashion and craziness that is tokyo, and shop shop shop. I am wondering if any of you have been? And have any tips for me?
Lace me up
Continuing on with my vintage Courtney Love admiration, I am lusting after this lacy nightie/dress and cropped top from topshop. Though I am worried these are items that I never find anything to wear underneath; nightie is probably see through and I am not baring my midriff that's for sure! I'm going to wait until I am actually near a topshop again; topshop not being in Australia has honestly been a major con for me. I've ordered online and it's been very successful, but the prospect of walking into oxford street flagship in 2 months gives me butterflies in my stomach :)

Nerd on
Kiel Mead is taking geek chic to a whole new level with these freck specs and retainer necklace, awesome. I would love to know how to make jewelry, it seems these days you just think of the craziest things and make them into a gold pendant, voila; and I want them all!

Multi Watches
Lets get all 80's and hit up some multiple watches! Really loving this look but find it hard to get the perfect combo. I am going to asia in a couple of months so I will purchase some fakies to add to my collection and would defo like to throw a vintage in there. Also loving rings on every finger and am currently piecing my collection together but have a hard time finding rings that fit my middle finger and thumb, annoyingly big knuckles getting in my way dammit!
Are you having a laugh?
I can't say I love the Chanel collection; it was one I was really looking forward to, yet it hasn't quite hit the spot. Can't see fur trousers being a huge hit and oh my god if 90's style furry boots make a comeback I'm outta here! Naturally there are some pretty dresses and accessories, but it all just seems a bit ridiculous to me for a ready to wear show. It's also so apparent how this years freezing Winter has inspired the shows, seeing designs aimed towards Baltic weather. I'm all for it personally, but no full fur bodysuits for me!

My First Love
Today I read this blog post and it got me thinking about my transition from grunge to glamour (sorry). Courtney Love was my first fashion icon as a teenager; I became obsessed, dyed my hair platinum, wore barettes and acted like a bitch! This lasted for about 4 to 5 years to the dismay of my mother until I finally grew up and moved on to my next obsession: fashion. Even though I moved on I was always in major awe of all things Courtney: babydoll dresses, maryjanes, white tights, lace and most of all peter pan collars. Its such a shame she is such a nut job now, but to be honest, I felt more betrayed by her when she went through her hollywood starlet stage. You cannot deny her early 90's wardrobe is a bit amazing!

Metamorphosis
I was checking out the Oscars red carpet and Nicole Richie shut it down in her usual but so well executed vintage attire. It got me thinking about how she used to look; a downright mess quite frankly. I just find it so hard to fully understand how she has changed so much, obviously lost heaps of weight, stopped hanging out with Paris Hilton and acquired a sense of style but there is something else I cannot put my finger on, anyway she looks great and I would pay good money to know her secret!

I am turning into a bit of a polyvore whore, couldn't help comprising this little collection of must haves. I want both pairs of shoes but just can't decide, i'd say I will go for the wedges first, then if I have lots of money to burn (not going to happen) I will also purchase the clogs. Really digging the house of harlow jewelry right now, I got myself a couple of the rings and want more more more! In bad need of new sunglasses, still wearing my wayfarers, so 2008. Oh and that jacket, really need someone to do an exact rip off because there is no chance I am paying 700 quid, but I need to own one!

Talking of 15 year olds...
I just read this article on 15 year old girls getting botox; why in gods name would a 15 year old want to get botox!? Wait for it, it gets worse/better; her mum who is known as 'the UK's Human Barbie' injects her daughter with the stuff, WTF?? The youngling stated her reasons as: "I also wanted to be beautiful like my mum and I was concerned about some wrinkles developing", and "Appearance is important to me and I don't want to look haggard and ugly by the time I'm 25." Eh, excuse me, who's old and haggard at 25? Instead she has opted to look like Joan Rivers by then, with lip fillers next on the agenda. Well well, Heidi Montag you have a lot to answer for ;)

Cute as a button!
This is doll faced, Kansas born beauty Lindsey Wixson. She has already scored herself this miu miu campaign at only 15 years old, you go girl!
Long Live McQueen
Alexander McQueen's funeral took place a few days ago on the 25th Feb with only 100 close guests invited, including Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. Unsurprisingly it was quite the fashion show, particularly Daphne Guinness's outrageous Gaga style outfit. Talking of Gaga, I wonder where she was? Well, I am sure McQueen would have highly approved. RIP.
